Guides to each treatment

Each guide covers who the treatment suits, what happens in the session, what the research does and does not support, and which of our priced spa services you would actually be booking.

Treatments at May Breeze Spa are cosmetic and relaxation services. They do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. Tell us about injuries, pregnancy, recent surgery or anything your doctor is managing before your session so the treatment can be adjusted.

Questions About the Menu

Which massage should I book if it is my first time?

The 60-minute Signature Relaxation Massage at $70. It is comfortable, covers the whole body, and you can ask for more pressure partway through. Booking deep tissue when you actually wanted to unwind is the more common mistake.

Should I book 60 or 90 minutes?

Sixty minutes covers the whole body at a comfortable pace, or the back, neck and shoulders properly at deep-tissue pace. Ninety minutes lets the therapist slow down and cover more ground. If you are booking as a treat rather than for a specific complaint, most guests prefer the 90.

Which facial should I book?

If your skin just looks tired, book the Classic Facial ($80, 60 minutes). For congestion or dryness, the Deep Cleanse & Hydra Facial ($108, 90 minutes). For dark spots, the Brighten Facial ($80). For fine lines, the Anti-Aging Facial ($108). For breakouts, the Acne Facial ($108). For a first-ever facial, the First Time Facial ($75).

What should I tell you when I book?

The area you want the session to focus on, and the pressure you like. One sentence at booking does more for the result than anything else you can control — it means your therapist starts with a plan instead of spending the first ten minutes finding one.

Do I have to undress completely for a massage?

Undress to your comfort level. You are covered by a sheet throughout, and only the area being worked on is uncovered at any time. If you would rather stay fully clothed, book chair massage or foot reflexology instead.

Do you offer a first-visit discount?

Yes, three Introduction Specials: a full 60-minute First Time Facial at $75, a 30-minute Signature Massage with a 60-minute facial at $108, and a full hour of each at $150. All are first-visit only.

Good to know

Massage therapists in Michigan are licensed by the state, and every therapist working at May Breeze Spa is licensed to practise. You are welcome to ask about your therapist's credentials and years of experience when you book — here or at any spa.

Our massage and facial treatments are cosmetic and relaxation services. They do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, and nothing on this site is medical advice. For independent information on what massage therapy does and does not do, see NCCIH and Mayo Clinic . New, severe or unexplained pain deserves a clinician rather than a spa booking.
